Selection Criteria:

 

n A high school senior who resides in the Town of Somers, and will be attending either a technical school, or 2/4 year college/university

n Community service participation that demonstrates a depth of commitment
 

n A short essay of about 150 words long, based on community service
 

n Two detailed letters on official stationery that verifies the student’s community involvement/volunteer work. (Letters must be included with the application.)

n  Signature and date on application

(* The essay should include reasons for volunteering and a description of how this service benefited the community, either locally or globally. Note: An essay exceeding 200 words will be disqualified.)
