 FOUR -  $1,500 AWARDS

(In memory of Lions Charles Ward, Henry Salerno, Wayne Van Tassel, Armand Fourgeot) 

Selection Criteria:

n      A high school senior who resides in the Town of Somers and will be attending either a technical school, a two-year or a four-year college or university.

n      Record of community service participation and commitment

n      A 250-350 word essay based on community service (See below)

n      Verification (i.e. letter, sign-in sheet)

n      A good academic and citizen record

250 – 350 WORD ESSAY MUST INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING FOUR POINTS:

§        Clearly describe your community service activity.

§        Effectively demonstrate your role in this community service.

§        Clearly explain what you learned from your involvement.

§        Describe how your involvement in this community service might effect what you will do in your future life.
