About the event
Celebrate Independence Day with an unforgettable evening of food, fireworks, music, and family fun at the Town of Somers Independence Day Event on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at Reis Park! Festivities begin at 5:00 PM.
It will feature live entertainment by Pork Chop Express, the famous Somers Lions Club BBQ, delicious eats from Sapori Di Napoli Food Truck, a basketball tournament, hot dog eating contest, and activities for all ages before the night concludes with a spectacular fireworks display.
Limited parking will be available at Reis Park, with shuttle bus service running between Somers High School and the park beginning at 4:30 PM. This event is open to Somers residents and accompanying guests. Please note: no pets allowed.
Presented in partnership with the Somers Lions Club and the Somers Chamber of Commerce, this community tradition is the perfect way to kick off the holiday weekend with friends, family, and neighbors.
