The Somers Lions are proud members of Lions International, the world’s largest volunteer philanthropic organization. But at our heart, we are simply neighbors helping neighbors. Since 1966, we’ve been a 100% volunteer-run foundation where local residents donate their time, skills, and heart to build a stronger community for us all.
If you live in or around Somers, you’ve likely seen us in action! Whether were ushering cars at our Annual Carnival at Fireman’s Field, selling tickets for our Car Raffle, or providing quiet, confidential support to a family in crisis. We don’t just serve Somers; we live here, and we’re dedicated to ensuring our town remains a place where everyone can thrive.

OUR STORY
Built to Serve
The Somers Lions Club was chartered in 1966 by a small group of neighbors who wanted to make a difference in Somers. Over the past 50+ years, they’ve grown into a vibrant organization, organizing town events, and lending a helping hand wherever it’s needed. For decades, the Lions have lived their motto: “We Serve.”

Tomorrow's Leaders
Our LEOs are the next generation of leaders, young people from Somers High School who are driven to serve their community. Through hands-on projects, fundraising, and volunteer work, they learn the power of giving back and the joy of making a difference.
