For over 30 years, the Somers Lions Club has served as the official charter organization for BSA Troop 376, a partnership that has shaped the lives of hundreds of young men in our community. This isn't just a signature on a piece of paper; the Lions provide the organizational "home" and essential resources that allow the troop to run its "Adult-Guided, Youth-Led" program.

The impact of this sponsorship is most visible in the incredible milestones reached by the scouts. In late 2024 and throughout 2025, the troop celebrated a surge in Eagle Scouts, including Luc Conte (#80), who built an outdoor exercise area at the high school, and Aidan Kimmel (#81), who overhauled the gardens at the Somers Library. These projects, often partially funded or supported by the Lions, provide lasting infrastructure for all Somers residents to enjoy.

By sponsoring Troop 376, the Lions ensure that the next generation of leaders is grounded in the motto "We Serve." From winter lean-to campouts to high-adventure trips, the Lions' support provides the safety net that allows these scouts to explore, lead, and give back.
