Warm Hands, Warm Hearts
On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the Somers Leos gathered at the Van Tassel House to turn a "day off" into a "day on." The goal was simple: ensure no neighbor in Westchester faces the winter without the essentials. What started as a student-led idea by Sean Donnelly, Gabe Stor, and Alex Donnelly grew into a massive community effort. By the end of the afternoon, the team had collected over 30 bags of winter coats, hats, gloves, and scarves.

A Special Gift for Jake Mohan
Jake Mohan is a typical ten-year-old boy who is also completely blind. When he was seven, the Somers Lions Club provided him with a Humanware BrailleNote Apex computer and Braille printer. This technology allowed Jake to read, write, and complete schoolwork using Braille, helping him stay academically on track and giving him greater independence in the classroom.
