Leadership, Experience, and Opportunity came to life when members of the Somers LEO Club traveled to the United Nations for Lions Day at the UN. This annual event brings together Lions and LEOs from around the world to celebrate the global impact of volunteer service and the power of young leaders working to make a difference in their communities.

For the Somers LEOs, the visit was an inspiring reminder that the spirit of service reaches far beyond Somers. With more than 225 student members and over 3,400 volunteer hours completed each year, the Somers LEO Club is one of the largest and most active in the country. Standing alongside youth leaders from across the globe, our students had the chance to see how their local efforts connect to a much larger mission of helping others.

Experiences like Lions Day at the United Nations reinforce what being a LEO is all about. These young leaders return home with new ideas, stronger friendships, and an even deeper commitment to service. The Somers Lions are proud to support a program that empowers the next generation to lead with compassion and make a meaningful impact in our community and beyond.
