The Somers Lions were proud to march in the Veterans Day Parade alongside our community, coming together to recognize and thank all those who have served and sacrificed for our country. Our club includes Veterans from WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and more recent honorable service, giving us a deep appreciation for the courage and dedication of those who defend our freedom. Whenever a Veteran is in need, the Lions are committed to offering support, reflecting our respect and gratitude for their service.

Our commitment to Veterans extends beyond the parade. In past celebrations, we honored local heroes, including Lt. Victor Prado at the 2018 Town Independence Day Celebration, and held a special Day of Celebration in 2019 for WWII and Korean Veterans. Through these events, we aim to give our Veterans the recognition and appreciation they so richly deserve.

The Somers Lions also support Veterans year-round. We regularly donate to My Brother Vinny, an organization helping homeless Veterans find housing, and assist by furnishing homes to give them a fresh start. Additionally, we support the Westchester All-Stars, which provides aid to Veterans in need across the county. From marches to hands-on support, the Lions are dedicated to ensuring that every Veteran in our community feels honored, valued, and supported.
